- What is an AI Overview tracker?
- An AI Overview tracker checks a chosen set of Google searches and records whether each one shows an AI Overview, which sources the overview links to, and whether your site is among them. Repeating those checks over time shows where you gain or lose citations.
- What does the AI Overview Tracker monitor?
- It records whether a tracked Google query shows an AI Overview, whether your domain is cited, which other sources appear, and how those observations change between checks. Each result stays attached to its market, language, device, and check time.
- How often can AI Overviews be checked?

- Do I need to connect Google Search Console?
- No. AI Overview checks run on any query you choose without a Google connection. Connecting Search Console is optional and adds your own clicks, impressions and positions alongside the citation data.
- Does AIORadar track Google AI Mode too?
- Yes, on paid plans. An AI Mode check records whether Google AI Mode cites your site for a tracked query and costs 5 credits, with up to 10, 30 or 60 checks a month on Starter, Growth and Agency. AI Mode draws on a broader set of sources, so it is tracked separately from AI Overviews.
- Is this the same as Google Search Console reporting?
- No. Search Console reports performance for links to your own property and may include generative AI reporting where Google makes it available. AIORadar adds selected-query citation checks and source comparisons. The two views are complementary.
- Can I track different markets and devices?
- Yes. Each check runs against a search profile with its own market, language and device (desktop, mobile or tablet), and every observation keeps that profile and its check time, so results from different locations are never blended together.
- How is an AI Overview tracker different from a rank tracker?
- A rank tracker records where your page ranks in the ordinary results. An AI Overview tracker records whether an AI-generated summary appears above those results and which sources it cites. A page can rank well and still not be cited, so the two answer different questions.
- Does tracking guarantee a citation?
